Guard Your Thoughts

Those who are pure in their thinking are happy, because they will be with God. -- Matthew 5:8

Paul Valery observed, "We hope vaguely but dread precisely." How true. All too often, we allow the worries of everyday life to overwhelm our thoughts and cloud our vision. What's needed is a clearer perspective, a renewed faith, and different focus.

When we focus on the frustrations of today or the uncertainties of tomorrow, we rob ourselves of peace in the present moment. But, when we focus on God's grace, and when we trust in the ultimate wisdom of God's plan for our lives, our worries no longer tyrannize us.

Today, remember that God is infinitely greater than the challenges that you face. Remember also that your thoughts are profoundly powerful, so guard them accordingly.

Prayer from the Blogger:
All mighty Father, thank you for your greatness. Thank you because You are greater than anything obstacle that I will face today. Father, I ask that you would guard my thoughts, that my thoughts would glorify you, and only you.
Amen

When Jesus calls you to come to Him, are there some things that stops you from reaching Him?
When you find yourself sinking in the midst of your worries, do you cry out "Jesus save me"?
Does your little faith cause you to doubt Jesus?

  1. Ithink because we are lacking in our faith we missed God blessing in our life. sometimes my little faith cause me to doubt Jesus. when I noticed that, I pray to God to strengthen my faith and God help me. should a christian live by faith or luck? when I find myself sinking in my worries I do cry out to Jesus to save me. I read scripture base of what worries me and that help me to focus on God and not to worry anymore.

  2. If believers live based on luck, what do we really think of our savior? I think we are telling Him that he may or may not be able to deal with our situations. Faith calls that we put all of our trust in Jesus.
