Do you believe that God is at work in the world? And do you also believe that nothing is impossible for Him? If so, then you believe that God is perfectly capable of doing things that you, as a mere human being with limited vision and limited understanding, would deem to be utterly impossible. And that 's precisely what God does.
Since He created our universe out of nothingness, God has made a habit of doing miraculous things. And He still works miracles today. Expect Him to work miracles in your own life, and then be watchful. With God, absolutely nothing is impossible, including an amazing assortment of miracles that He stands ready, willing, and able to perform for you and yours.

Heavenly Father, open my heart and eyes to your miracles, as You do what others believe to be impossible. Use my life and my body as vessels to proclaim your awesomeness and power.

What kinds of miracles happen in the 21st century?
ReplyDeleteWhen you consider the miracle in this passage, the miracle is Jesus' mastery over the sick. Epilepsy was a sickness that people did not know how to treat, and when Jesus cured the boy of epilepsy it was cnsidered a miracle. That same principle can be applied today.
ReplyDeleteThere are lots of diseases we cannot completely cure, (cancer, HIV, aids to name a few). If someone was to tell you that they were completely cured of one of these diseases you would say they experienced a miracle.
One of the things I do is when I read something in the Bible I bring to terms that we deal with in society today. Jesus is still in the business of doing things that we say are impossible, that is what a miracle is , seeing the impossible come to pass.
in today's world people have little faith because they cannot see the miracles and they do not believe in Jesus Christ. my faith lacking by not waiting long enough for God miracles to happen in my life. and Matthew 17 tell us that our faith does not need to be huge, but if you have faith has small as a mustard seed, you can say to the mountain to move. by not being patient enough to wait on the Lord does it mean that you are lacking on your faith?
ReplyDeleteI believe that if you cannot wait on God, you are lacking in faith. I say this because faith in Hebrews 11:1 is defined as the confidence that we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.So when we stop waiting on God, it is because we no longer have faith or as Hebrews would state it, the confidence or assurance for that which we were waiting on to come to pass.
