The old saying is both familiar and true: "Man proposes and God disposes." Proverbs 27:1 remind us that our world unfolds according to God's plans, not our wishes. Thus, boasting about future events is to be avoided by those who acknowledge God's sovereignty over all things.
Are you planning for a better tomorrow for yourself and your family? If so, you are to be congratulated: God rewards forethought in the same way that He often punishes impulsiveness. But as you make your plans, do so with humility, with gratitude, and with trust in your Heavenly Father. His hand directs the future; to think otherwise is both arrogant and naive.

Prayer from the Blogger:
Heavenly Father,
We are not guaranteed tomorrow, so when we make plans, let them be directed by You.
Amen
Digging Deeper:
Read the following passage -
Proverbs 27:1-4
New Living Translation (NLT)
Don’t brag about tomorrow,
since you don’t know what the day will bring.
2 Let someone else praise you, not your own mouth—
a stranger, not your own lips.
a stranger, not your own lips.
3 A stone is heavy and sand is weighty,
but the resentment caused by a fool is even heavier.
but the resentment caused by a fool is even heavier.
4 Anger is cruel, and wrath is like a flood,
but jealousy is even more dangerous.
but jealousy is even more dangerous.
Challenge:
Run all your plans for tomorrow with God.
