The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, and his glory is to overlook a transgression. Proverbs 19:11
Bitterness is a form of self-punishment: forgiveness is a means of self-liberation. Bitterness focuses on the injustices of the past: forgiveness focuses on the blessings of the present and the opportunities of the future. Bitterness is an emotion that destroys you; forgiveness is a decision that empowers you. Bitterness is folly; forgiveness is wisdom.
If we call upon the Lord and seek to see the world through His eyes, He will give us guidance, wisdom, and perspective. When we make God's priorities our priorities, He will lead us according to His plan and according to His commandments. When we study God's Word, we are reminded that God's reality is the ultimate reality. May we live-and forgive-accordingly.

Prayer from the Blogger:
Heavenly Father,
Help us so that we will no longer be bitter Instead send your Spirit to us so that we may forgive others in the same manner You have forgiven us.
Amen

Read the following passage-
Proverbs 19:8-14
New Century Version (NCV)
8 Those who get wisdom do themselves a favor,
and those who love learning will succeed.
9 A witness who lies will not go free,
liars will die.
10 A fool should not live in luxury.
A slave should not rule over princes.
11 The wise are patient;
they will be honored if they ignore insults.
12 An angry king is like a roaring lion,
but his kindness is like the dew on the grass.
13 A foolish child brings disaster to a father,
and a quarreling wife is like dripping water.
14 Houses and wealth are inherited from parents,
but a wise wife is a gift from the Lord.
